This four island tour operates has no minimum of persons required, and are usually small, rarely being more than 8 people. Depending on the size the tour the vehicle is either an automobile or a mini bus.

Day 1
Arrival in Ponta Delgada on São Miguel and transfer to Hotel Vila Nova or equivalent. Ponta Delgada is the capital of the island group. Lined with many impressive churches, convents and trim white houses the cobblestone streets recall the wealthy days when the port was a crucial staging post between Europe and the New World. Overnight in Ponta Delgada.
Day 2
Departs at 9:30 AM from Ponta Delgada to Furnas via de South road; Stop at Vila Franca do Campo Village. Arrive at Furnas Valley passing by the Lagoa das Furnas lake n the way to the Furnas Village. Visit the beautiful and renown Terra Nostra botanical garden. Return via the north coast visiting the only tea plantation in Europe, and the town of Ribeira Grande. (Lunch is not included)
Day 3
Depart at 9:30AM. Tour to Caldeira das Sete Cidades (Caldera of the 7 Cities) Lake by the Mountain Road. The Caldera holding the 3 dark green lakes is what is left of a large volcano that destoyed itself in an eruption in the 1440s. Stop at the "Vista do Rei" (King's View) for a panoramic view of the Caldera. Visit a pineapple plantation on the way back. Balance of day free.
Day 4
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Terceira Island. Terceira means "third" in Portuguese, named for being the third island discovered. Transfer to Hotel Angra Garden. Balance of day free.
Day 5
Depart for a tour of the Algar do Carvao grotto, and enormous cave caused by a volcanic blast, then on to Biscoitos, popular in the summer for its naturally formed swimming pools. Next a visit to the wine museum were you learn about the production and sample some of "verdelho" wine that was once exported to the Russian court. Return through the villages of Doze Ribeiras, Sao Mateus and then to Angra do Heroismo, the most cosmopolitan city in the Azores. UNESCO declared Angra do Heroismo a World Heritage site in 1983 in recognition of the role the port has played in the Atlantic. For over 3 centuries the town was a stopover on the routes between Europe, the Americas and Africa. In the early 17th century its harbor glittered with Spanish fleets returning laden with treasure from the Americas. The city's wealthy past is reflected in the fine streets lined with monumental churches and balconied houses. Balance of day free.
Day 6
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Pico Island. Transfer to Hotel Pico. Balance of day free.
Day 7
Departure from the hotel to Cabeço do Chão and villages. Visit Cachorro which are lava rock formations, continue to S. Roque, sotp to visit the old whale factory. Visit to the Lake of Capitão. Visit the Whale Museum at Lajes. Return to Madalena stopping at the local handicraft center in S. Mateus. Balance of day free.
Day 8
Transfer to the harbor for a 30 minute ferry trip to Horta on Faial Island. Transfer to Hotel Fayal. Day free to explore Horta, the capital of Faial. The island was settled by Flemish farmers in the 15th century and prospered as a stopover for ships and the flying boats of the early 20th century. Today, visiting crews crossing between the Caribbean and Mediterranean paint a calling card on the dock walls. Balance of day free.
Day 9
Leave at 9:30AM to Caldeira and stop to appreciate the beautiful view. Next travel along the north coast to Capelinhos and see the remains of the last volcanic eruption in the Azores (1957). Return to the hotel about noon. Balance of day free.
Day 10
Day free in Faial for shopping and sightseeing.
Day 11
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home
