The island of Flores, with an area of 143.11 km2, is 17 km long and 12.5 km at its widest point. The highest part of the central plateau is Morro Alto, with an altitude of 914 metres. The island is situated on 31º 59' west longitude and 39º 25' north latitude.

With a length of 6.5 km, a width of km and a total area of 17.13 km2, this oval-shaped island is smallest in the archipelago of the Azores. Composed of the outcropping of a volcanic cone, it has a maximum altitude of 718 metres. It is situated at 31° 05` West longitude and 39° 40` North Latitude.
